YEHUDAH
Jacob: Gen. 49:8-12:
"You Yehudah, your brothers shall praise you; your hand is on the neck
of your enemies; your father’s children bow before you. Yehudah is a lion’s
cub; from the prey you have gone up, my son. He bowed down, he crouched like
a lion. And like a lion who does rouse him? The scepter [shevet -tribe]
shall not depart from Judah nor a lawgiver from between his feet until Shiloh
comes and to him is the obedience of the peoples. Binding his donkey to
the vine, he washed his garments in wine and his robes in the blood of grapes.
His eyes are darker than wine and his teeth whiter than milk." Moshe
Rabainu: Deut. 33:7: "Hear Yahweh the voice of Yehudah and bring
him to his people. His hands shall fight for him and you be a help against
his enemies.
Comments:
Judah will lead Israel in military and spiritual battle and in the established
royal House of David. Messiah will cause all Israel to bow and worship Him,
despite dark persecution of Messiah and of Judah. Judah knows both triumph and
gloom. The authority of Moses resides in Judah until Shiloh comes, at
which point it is then hidden in Gad. Those who prosper in spiritual
matters and revelation, and who properly interpret the Brit Chadashah in light
of Torah and who are washed in Messiah’s blood are said to be from Messianic
Judah. Judahites today are also those Jews who have a burning heart’s desire
to reunite the 2 houses as seen in Moshe’s declaration of bringing Judah back
to the rest of his people. The Judahites of today are great battlefield soldiers
against modern Israel’s enemies.
